After School Clubs and Classes

Classes and camps at the Toy Museum are fun and educational! They offer a hands on learning experience for children ages 4 and up!
We offer classes all year long. Sign up now using our convenient online registration or preregister in person for any of our classes in Art, Chess and Theatre

Art Class for Beginners, 4 – 10 years old

Art Club is for the creative and imaginative child. All types of art will be explored including paper mache, painting, drawing, and more. 

Chess 1 for Beginners, 4 - 10 years old

Chess Club is great for the child who wants to learn basic moves, improve their current skills and get lots of playing time. Meet new friends and have fun. Friendly tournaments. All beginners welcome.

Chess 2 for Advanced Beginners, 4 - 10 years old

This is an advanced class for students who already have an understanding of the game and are ready to learn strategy and advanced moves. All students will become registered United Federation of Chess Club members to enable them to play in rated tournaments.

Theatre Class for Beginners, 4 - 10 years old

These beginner classes are designed to be a child's first  introduction to performing  arts.  Great for your little family actor and actress who is already performing around the house. Students will participate in theater games, improvisation, and mime! These classes are also great for children with upcoming school interviews as a great way to learn confidence, self-esteem, and good listening skills.

The Toy Museum Player's Theatre, 6 - 12 years old

15 weeks of acting classes and 2 final performances. Everyone can be a star on the stage! Acting classes focus on basic theatre skills such as: improvisation, fundamentals of storytelling, movement and basic theatre terminolgy.  The imaginations and curiosity of each participant will be enthusaistically explored and encouraged.

Numerous private lessons are available in Chess, Theater, and Academic Subjects.
